Targeted ads allow you to reach a particular part of our audience. For instance, if you're advertising a musician's conference, you might only want to advertise on the Industry Page where artists and other industry people are most likely to view your ad. On the other hand, a club that's having a grand opening might prefer to advertise only on the Entertainment Page where the general user is more likely to go and/or the Home Page where everyone will see the ad.
Cons:
Targeted ads give you less value because they only show up in one place. If you need to maximize the number of people who see your ads, this is not the way to go.
There is a separate charge for each placement of your ad. The first placement is at full price and each additional placement is at half-price. Therefore, if you want to place your advertisement on the Home Page, the Industry Page and the Features Page, you would pay full price for the highest priced placement and half-price for each of the others.
